Message from the President
•“A warm, (but not dry heat) day to ride and a good meal with great friends” That is what I think of when telling others about our club. Summer is definitely here. Unfortunately the tornadoes have already visited the area and left a mess behind. Traveling the roads with Wendell and Gary as we scouted out routes for the get-together we saw what strength Mother Nature has. This points out how we all need to stay alert for her visits as we travel the roads. Take no chances! Better to wait and ride a different day then to think you can beat the storm. If you see bright flashes, and they are not from the sun bouncing off your highly buffed chrome, look for shelter and enjoy some indoor time as the storm passes if you can. Otherwise make sure the rain gear is handy and helmets are on. ESPECIALLY remember roads get slickery (slippery) when wet.

Club News
• Membership renewals for 2010/2011 need to be paid now to Dennis Kaneski. You may pay Dennis on a Tuesday or mail them to him at 610 Fifth Avenue NE, Long Prairie, MN 56347. Dues are $20.00 for a single membership or $27.50 for member and associate member. Please be sure he has your current address, email address, and telephone number. Please contact Dennis if for some reason you will not be renewing your membership. Membership dues are sent in just once a year for membership July 1, 2010 to June 30, 2011.
• We voted at the May meeting that the Ride Leader would send an email to club members on Sunday indicating where we will be stopping for supper after the Tuesday ride. If you do not have email and want to meet the group for supper, contact the Ride Leader.
• Get Together Clothing – Clothing orders are due by July 1st to Sue Kaneski. The vests and T-shirts seem to run pretty true to size.
• Chapter Members please turn in your door prizes that you wish to donate for the Great MN Wings Get Together to Ken and Mari Koll or Deb and Larry Adamek by July 1st. Prizes do not need to be motorcycle related. Suggested amount is $5 to $10 each. Don’t like to shop? We’ll accept cash or a check too!
• MN Wings Get Together – Please note that rooms at the Country Inn and Suites will be held until July 12th. As of June 22nd 11 rooms were still available. Ten rooms at the AmericInn will only be held until June 30th. We need your reservation by August 1st. Make your reservations now and enjoy a fun weekend!
• We will be riding in the Randall July 4th parade. Please come into Randall from #104 at 11 a.m. The parade will begin at noon. Any questions contact Wendell Schultz at 320.749.2139.
• If you would like to lead a weekend ride just send out an email and invite other members along. Take your camera along and visit some of our MN County Courthouses for the Get Together Contest for the fun of it. Our Little Falls Chapter will not be eligible for prizes! Note to other MN Wings Members – We will be awarding three prizes to the top three winners of the MN County Courthouse Contest! Bring in your photos!
• Notice the photos! Larry rode his new 2005 Honda Goldwing tonight! Now he has his V-Star for sale!
• For Sale: 2007 Yamaha V-Star 1300 Tourer, 9,000 miles, candy red, excellent condition. Includes two matching helmets, highway pegs, engine bar, highway passing lamps, driver and passenger floorboards, and balance of Yamaha Extended Warranty (2.5 years approx). $6,995. • We also welcome back Arlie who is back in Minnesota after spending a couple of years in Arizona taking motorcycle repair classes. He is certified to repair Honda’s, Harley’s, and many more! Way to go Arlie!

Great MN Wings 2010 Get Together
We will be hosting the 2010 Get Together in Detroit Lakes August 13 – 15th. Events will take place at The Country Inn & Suites in Detroit Lakes. When making reservations let them know you are with the MN Wings.
Country Inn & Suites – 218.847.2000 – MN Wings Rates - $100.00 standard room, $107.00 suite.
The registration fee for the entire weekend including the Saturday evening supper is $25.00 per person. See the flyer included with the newsletter or on the website for more information and the registration/order form. We’ve added a registration form that lists the county seats and counties for the County Courthouse Contest. How would you like to help make this a Great MN Wings Get Together? We will have the sign up sheets at the July 13th meeting or contact an officer. We have opportunities for all members!
