Happy 2012! 
This so called winter has been tolerable than most but the warm days sure get me thinking about getting the ‘scoot out for a trip around the block.  Rides must be on Steve’s mind as well as he has started the ride schedule.  He left the major events, such as the fall color ride, casino and taco run on the calendar and is now looking for suggestions.  If you’ve come across a nice place to ride that has great food, please pass along to Steve so he can get it scheduled.

The annual cabin fever party at Barb and Warren’s will be April 14 – we’ll combine this with our regular scheduled meeting since Easter falls on the 2nd Sunday in April this year.  State board meeting falls on the 14th as well so it’ll be a busy, but fun day!

Another change to our meeting schedule will be in May due to Mother’s Day falling on the 2nd Sunday.  Mark your calendars for May 6th as our road side clean up and meeting day.

Historian, Sandy, is working on the photo album and will hopefully be able to complete the photos of all members with their bike.  You don’t have to wait for Sandy to shoot you – send her a picture if you have one taken from a vacation or just hanging by your bike.

The hat order has arrived so contact Joleen to purchase one.  The cost is $9.00.  Additional clothing orders will be taken in April.

Looking ahead to upcoming membership renewals include Craig Johnson (January) and Leon Peterson (February).  Checks can be mailed or dropped off to John.  Your prompt payment makes his job much easier and nobody gets a nasty gram!

The Wings Christmas party was a great time and the snow storm didn’t hamper most members from attending.  I heard the ride home was a bit frenzied though.  What’s winter without at least one storm?  The Oakdale Country Club was a great place to host this event and the food was a gastronomical delight.  We also found out that one of our members, none other than Joni Ingersoll, has a very steady hand and proved that – not once but twice when she stacked 3 golf balls on top of each other.  Think it’s easy?  Try it!
Other events to keep in mind are the winter mixes in Little Falls on February 25 and the MN Get Together in August.  More information can be found else where on this website so check it out!

January birthday salutes go out to Sandy Bjerkelund, Jolene Landfair and Wes Quick.  Keep in mind, as you get older three things happen. The first is your memory goes and I can't remember the other two.
