CLUB NEWS
Secretary and treasurer’s reports read and accepted.
Clothing – The Minnesota Wings State Rep will be the interface for Sew Unique. Bob will still be able to order what we need.
No new member packets were sent out and no dealership open houses yet.
The Safety officer reminds us that there is sand, salt and frost on the roads so be careful. Also, cars are not expecting to see motorcycles on the road in January.
The Toys for Teens party went well – the food was good but Johnny and Laurie were missed.
If you earned a “20” pin you may accept it or just have your name announced in recognition rather than receiving a pin.
New ride points were discussed. The criteria for a ride point is easy in and out access, adequate parking and ice cream nearby J. More people are unhappy with the west ride point than the south ride point. If you have suggestions please bring them up at the next meeting.
UPCOMING EVENTS
The holiday party is January 21 at Park Tavern. Popular vote will determine the menu. Social hour 4:30-5:30; Dinner 5:30-7:00; Bowling 7:00-9:00. The club will pay for non-alcoholic beverages and dessert.
Joe delivered the Ride for Kids plaques that Tim and Glen will take to the State board meeting.
Speaking of the State Board meeting, it will be January 14, 2012, 12 PM at Sidelines Sports Grill, Cambridge, MN. Meet at Tim Smith’s house at 9:45 on Saturday, Jan 14 if you’d like to attend the State Board meeting and ride together with Tim and Glen.
Winter activities will be planned for February and March. Suggestions are welcome – contact Susan, Bette Ann or Cathy.
A spring dinner will be coordinate by the Shafers – more information to come.
For the winter months, in lieu of a Tuesday night ride, it was suggested that we meet for dinner. A schedule will be emailed with suggested restaurants at which to meet.
